I have developed a Tool which records the client's feelings at the start of therapy. This enables me to measure the effectiveness of my therapeutic programme in a dynamic and powerful way throughout the process. This is hard evidence that my programme of healing and change really works. All it takes is full participation in the programme.
Our bodies are such wonderful entities; they are wired to protect us. The protection is a learned response that we influence through our thinking and behaviour. Unfortunately this response can be triggered at times that are inappropriate to our lives, and such panic attacks can be detrimental to our health, well-being and chosen life-style.
Panic is a learned response to a given situation or event. In some cases it may be beneficial to panic or flee from a situation without too much thought, especially if it saves your life. Often panic sets in when a situation is perceived to be life threatening, for example “I felt claustrophobic in the escalator and I had a panic attack.” When situations or events occur that are ‘normal’, but you find that you can not cope and you start to panic, then you need to address the underlying reasons for your behaviour.
At Mind For Life we have a unique programme that has helped many people who were suffering from panic attacks, and changed their lives permanently. The corner-stone of the programme is the in-house development of the iCBT process, which is based on the concept that your thoughts, feelings, physical sensations and actions are interconnected, and that negative thoughts and feelings can trap you in a vicious cycle. iCBT aims to help clients to deal with overwhelming problems in a more positive way by educating the client through structured workbook reading and written exercises. It provides structured education and the latest understanding on how the human mind works. iCBT includes unique techniques to control and eliminate negative thoughts, teaching meditation, and how to reset past traumas, providing guidance to beneficially change behaviour.
We do not have any magic formulas or special powers, we do not tell people how to live their lives …what we do is guide, teach, support, and encourage; if the client fully participates in the programme, then they will develop enthusiasm and curiosity about this Earth Experience, valuing health. Every person who has fully participated in the programme has created new opportunities in their lives … without exception.
